Chicago White Sox Betting Preview
Over on the White Sox’ side, they had zero luck versus the Tigers over the weekend. Chicago fell in a sweep 1-0, 7-6 and 3-2 in three games. On Monday the White Sox couldn’t get anything going on just three team hits. Yoan Moncada had two of those hits (along with a walk); Dominic Fletcher had the other.
In the starter role for the White Sox on Tuesday it’ll be Garrett Crochet. In 2023, Crochet went 0-2 with a 3.55 ERA in 13 games (zero starts), striking out 12 batters in 12.2 innings. This year in his first start Crochet took a tough-luck loss with 6.0 innings, one earned, no walks, five hits and eight Ks.

Braves vs White Sox Prediction
I’ll take a stab on the White Sox as a value play here, but I’m probably not touching it. Crochet pitched well in his first outing versus Detroit on Thursday (as did the bullpen) however the offense couldn’t give him any help on just three team hits and zero runs. Another performance in that neighborhood will set the Sox up very well, but the bats need to come along for the ride. On Monday Chicago had a rough outing on both sides. Starter Chris Flexen gave up four earned on six hits and three walks in 4.1 innings, and the pen didn’t do any better. Outside of Moncada and Fletcher, the offense came up empty as well. The Sox really need a good bounce-back effort in game two.
