Wings Up 2026: Vĩnh Ân is the annual welcome event for new students hosted by the Faculty of Sociology and Development. Built around the theme Vĩnh Ân (Eternal Gratitude), this year’s edition celebrates gratitude and remembrance – toward family, teachers, and one’s roots – while setting a memorable tone for the night ahead. 

The program opened with a choral medley of three songs – “Thư pháp” (Calligraphy), “Tôi yêu” (I Love) and “Máu đỏ da vàng” (Red Blood, Yellow Skin) – that filled the hall with a stirring, emotional energy. Weaving these melodies together, the performance kindled a sense of national pride and love for the homeland, capturing the very spirit of Wings Up 2026: Vĩnh Ân.

Addressing the audience, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Hương Trà, Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Development, said: “I hope that this very special program for you today – the ‘Vĩnh Ân’ program – will be both an occasion to express gratitude to our teachers and an opportunity to welcome the new members of the Faculty of Sociology and Development. I also hope that, by choosing the Faculty and choosing the Academy, you have chosen a haven for yourselves. And in that haven, we will rejoice and celebrate together, in the hope that the next four years will be a truly wonderful journey.”

During the Ceremony, the Organizing Committee paid tribute to the sponsors and media partners who supported the program. Their contributions proved instrumental in bringing Wings Up 2026 to life and extending its reach across the student community.

The Committee also presented awards to the outstanding individuals and teams of the companion event “Hoài Ân Gửi Lời” (Words of Gratitude). The awards recognized students’ active participation and standout contributions to the series of activities leading up to Wings Up 2026. They also served as a tribute to the people who have guided and supported the new students along the way.

The two top-scoring K46 entrants in Social Work and Sociology were also recognized for their exceptional admission results. In addition, the Committee offered encouragement to students who, despite financial hardship, continue to strive for academic excellence. Together, these moments celebrated a passion for learning, resilience in the face of adversity, and a spirit of solidarity within the student community.

With the Ceremony drawing to a close, the evening moved into its Festival segment – a series of artistic performances inspired by the theme Vĩnh Ân. If the Ceremony was about giving thanks, recognizing contributions, and celebrating outstanding individuals, the Festival carried that spirit forward through performances brimming with cultural richness and the youthful energy of the Academy’s students.
